When you access library databases off campus, you will be prompted to log in with your TCL credentials.
Username: Your seven-digit TCL student ID number
Password: First letter of your first name plus the last three digits of your social security number.
Example: John Smith (SSN: XXX-XX-X123) would enter j123 as his password.
Note: Some TCL IDs have only a six-digit number listed. If this is the case with your ID, enter a zero before your number. (Example: If your ID card says 123456, enter 0123456.)
If you do not know your ID number, visit Building 2 on the Beaufort campus or the LRC on the New River campus to have an ID made.
If you receive a message that says you cannot be logged in, try clearing your private data. To do this, click the "Tools" menu in Internet Explorer, then "Internet Options." Under "Browsing History," click Delete, then make sure the box next to "Cookies" is checked. Click Delete. Now close and re-open your web browser and try logging in again.
If you still cannot log in or receive any additional messages asking you to log in, pay for an article, or create an account with the database, please contact the library.
