The guidelines for writing MLA style essays can be found in the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. The library has copies of this book on reserve, but there are also many excellent resources for MLA style to be found online. A great resource for all things MLA is Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL). We recommend looking at the OWL website for an introduction to MLA.
If you need to know how to format your paper (create a header, set the margins, etc.), please take a look at our Formatting Word Docs for MLA Style Reports page. If you need to know how to create MLA style citations, check out our MLA Citation Examples page.
Finally, be sure to check out TCL's Tutoring Center webpage.
