Go to the Learning Resources Center's homepage. You will see links to the LRC catalog, eBooks, and databases.

If you are looking for a print book or other item (DVD, CD, etc.), search the LRC catalog. For more information on searching the catalog, check out the LibGuide Finding Books: Online Catalog.

If you are looking for an electronic book, use eBooks. This allows you to search for books that you can read on your computer, smartphone, or tablet. If you are off-campus, use your Blackboard username (TCL ID number) and password (first letter of your first name and last three digits of your Social Security number) to access eBooks.

If you have searched the catalog and still can't find any books, click on the PASCAL icon on the right side of the results page in the catalog. This will allow you to search for books from other academic libraries across South Carolina. If you find something you would like, click on "Place Request" to order the book. The service is free and will take up to 5 days for arrival. Once the item arrives, you will be contacted via phone or e-mail. You will need your library ID number, which is your school code (00991000) and your TCL ID number, separated by an underscore. For example, if your TCL ID number is 654321, your library ID is 00991000_0654321. For more information on PASCAL, check out the LibGuide What to do When You Can't Find a Book.

If you are looking for an article, use the databases. These are collections of journals, magazines, newspapers, and more that are searchable. These provide relevant, up-to-date information on a wide variety of subjects and include many scholarly works. To access the databases off-campus, use your Blackboard username (TCL ID number) and password (first letter of your first name and last three digits of your Social Security number). For more information, check out the Databases LibGuide.

For more information on how to search for useful information, please watch the Information Literacy Orientation, which will guide you through how to access and use these resources to help you can succeed in your courses.
